I Ain't Telling You No Lie...

:: 16 ::

Blues Traveler
Four

I'm not a huge fan of Blues Traveler, but I am a huge fan of this album. '94 was a simplier time: back when 9/11 was just an emergency phone number, and John Popper was large.

Tracks of Note:
Crash Burn, Run-Around, Hook, Stand

I used to think of "Hook" as one of my guilty pleasures, but now that I have a fellow traveler (hey-O!), I don't think I have to use the word "guilty" anymore. That song rulez ass.

The "Hook", as they say, does bring you back. I knew this was going to make it for you.

It does occur to me that perhaps if Popper had not undergone the stomach stapling and consequently "burned out," Blues Traveler might be considered more of an essential band rather than a once popular band that has now "faded away". What a selfish guy, putting his health before his band's legacy.

"Hook" was one of the first songs I learned to play on guitar. I thought I was pretty cool remembering all of those words.
